The emphasis of the Automotive Air Conditioning Certificate of Achievement is on vehicle heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including their basic operation, function, service and maintenance. The systems include heaters, air conditioners, manual controls, and computer controls. Applicable courses are compliant with the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundations (NATEF), meet the standards of National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3), and integrate Mopar College Automotive Program (CAP) Local levels 0 and 1 online coursework. This program prepares students and incumbent employees for entry-level positions at local automotive dealerships, independent repair facilities, national repair chains, fleets, and parts suppliers. Students may also choose to further their education and obtain the Associates of Science Degree in Automotive Technology.
