The General Drafting Associate of Science degree prepares students with a broad perspective of drafting, design and local general education requirements to utilize in gaining employment in any of the related fields of the building industry where they will be involved to produce plans of various building typologies. The various curricula in drafting provide students a technical background, a set of social values, and a range of occupational skills, which result in creative expression. The curricula is also intended to be as flexible as possible to best serve student needs. Individuals completing this degree may also choose to continue their education toward a baccalaureate or advanced degree in architecture or related majors.
